Progress Report: Dining Room and Bath Room

Since my parents are on vacation, and also since I closed last night, I was able to make some progress on cleaning the house a bit. Since I used to have a steady opening shift for my retail job, I have a hard time sleeping past 7am, even without setting an alarm clock. Yesterday I was able to continue rolling over a few times until about 9am, which was just as well, since I' didn't arrive home until 11pm last night.

Since that left me with a few hours of time before I had to leave, I decided to get a bit of cleaning progress done. I cleared off the bathroom floor, swept it, and scrubbed it. Yay! I also cleared off and swept the dining room floor, so there's plenty of walking surface now. The cats are having a ball, when they're not chasing each other. Their toys are all gathered into one spot, Mom's shoes are all gathered into one spot - fewer trip hazards are always a good thing.

My plan for the weekend is to take care of the following bullet points:
O Fold Laundry
O Iron laundry
O Put away laundry
O Wash all dishes
O Clean counter top
O Clean stove top
O Clean fridge
O Soft plastic containers
O Organize cupboard
O Clear off the table by the window
O Put books away
O Dust TV area
X Sweep dining room floor
X Sweep hallway and bathroom
O Sweep kitchen floor
O Sweep living room floor
O Scrub kitchen floor
X Scrub bathroom floor
O Clean microwave
O Change the filter on the cats' water bowl
O Change the living room cat box
O Insulate around the windows

Yes, I know that last one isn't a cleaning task, but it's something we really need to do before winter sets it; those windows are pretty drafty. ^^; I've already made some progress on my cleaning list, which is heartening. I hope to get the laundry done today, which is probably the most boring task, especially considering that ironing isn't something I'm thrilled with. I'll probably select a few movies to "watch" while I'm working on it, and hopefully that watch will stay in quotation marks. :)
